First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic stated that it was impermissible that the investigation into the helicopter crash be misused for political campaign purposes, which not only undermines the reputation of the Serbian Armed Forces, but strongly hurts the feelings of the bereaved families, as well.

“Respect of the victims should be the basis of all media reporting and political statements, whereas the responsibility should be established by the relevant state authorities. That is the order of the day in all civilized societies in the event of accidents. A highly humane and a selfless act of saving the life of a child is worthy of great respect and we must not allow that in trying to identify culprits, heroes be stigmatized as culprits”, said the Serbian Foreign Minister in his statement.
