In his capacity as the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met with OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatovic, in the margins of the international conference on protection of safety and integrity of journalists in the OSCE region. The two interlocutors and Minister of Culture and Information Ivan Tasovac opened the event in Belgrade today.

During the discussions, the two sides highlighted once again the importance of protecting safety and integrity of the media and media representatives in the entire OSCE region and its resolve to put this issue on top of the agenda, as evidenced by holding the two-day international conference.
Their associates positively assessed cooperation and voiced hope that the Conference would produce concrete recommendations for the promotion of safety of journalists.
