First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received today Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Serbia Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad Jassim Mohammed Al Thani.

Ambassador of Qatar Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad Jassim Mohammed Al Thani delivered to Minister Dacic the letter from Qatar’s Foreign Affairs Minister conveying the invitation of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon for participation in the 13th UN Conference on crime prevention and criminal law, to be held in Doha from 12 to 19 April 2015. Ambassador pointed out that the visit of Serbian Foreign Minister to Doha and talks with Qatar officials would contribute to the promotion of overall relations and closer ties between Serbia and Qatar.
During the meeting, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic underlined his satisfaction with the opening of the Qatar Embassy in Belgrade, as well as the opening of the Serbian Embassy in Doha. He also confirmed readiness to intensify bilateral dialogue, and to strengthen and expand comprehensive cooperation, especially in the fields of economy and investment.
