According to the information provided by the Russian Emergencies Ministry at the request of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Moscow, six workers of Serbian nationality have lost their lives in a fire which broke out on the Yamal Peninsula in Siberia, in a mobile settlement near the city of Salekhard (approximately 3,000 kilometres from Moscow). Analysis of the cause of the accident is still in progress and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expects a report as soon as possible.

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Moscow is in constant contact with the authorities and has sent its representative to the scene of the accident.
