Minister Dacic in Adis Abeba with officials from India, Republic of South Africa and Kenya on the promotion of economic relations

au -_zmip_indijaFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had several bilateral meetings on the second day of the AU Executive Council meeting.

Minister Dacic met with Deputy External Affairs Minister of India Navtej Singh Sarna. The two interlocutors agreed that good political relations between the two countries should be promoted through strengthening economic cooperation as well. To that end, the Deputy External Affairs Minister of India invited a Serbian trade delegation to attend the Business Forum to be held in August of this year in India. The two officials expressed readiness for the promotion of cooperation both in the fields of culture and tourism. Minister Dacic thanked for the principled position of India concerning the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.
The Head of Serbian Diplomacy had talks with Foreign Minister of the Republic of South Africa Nkoana Mashabane on the fringes of the AU Executive Council meeting. Minister Mashabane pointed out that Serbia was and remained a true friend of African countries in difficult times. The two interlocutors agreed that economic ties did not reflect the political relations between the two countries and they underlined the promotion of economic cooperation. Minister Mashabane reiterated the principled position of its country concerning the issue of non-recognition of the unilateral declaration of Kosovo and Metohija.
Minister Dacic also had talks with Kenya’s Foreign Minister Amina Mohamed. During the talks the two interlocutors expressed interest in strengthening the overall bilateral relations and cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy and defence. Minister Dacic thanked his counterpart for consistent position concerning the issue of non-recognition of the unilateral declaration of Kosovo and Metohija. Kenya’s Minister invited Minister Dacic to visit Kenya.
