First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a farewell call by Head of UNOB Peter Due.

During the talks, Mr. Peter Due particularly praised the engagement of the Republic of Serbia in UN Peacekeeping Operations, stressing the fact that Serbia belongs in the group of seven largest European contributors to military and police forces of the United Nations worldwide.
Minister Dacic thanked Mr. Due for the cooperation they had had in the past, and underscored the importance that Serbia attached to the UN presence in Kosovo and Metohija. The Serbian Foreign Minister reiterated Serbia's commitment to contribute to the world peace and stability and voiced his interest in continuation of cooperation with the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations where Mr. Due is to assume one of the top positions in the coming period.
