In his capacity as the incoming OSCE Chairman, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had talked on the phone today with the current Chairman of the Organization, Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter, Russian and Ukrainian Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Pavlo Klimkin as well as with the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine and Russia Heidi Tagliavini.

Ambassador Tagliavini said to the Head of Serbian Diplomacy that she accepted his proposal of staying in the post of his Personal Representative, during the Serbian OSCE Chairmanship next year, in the framework of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine and Russia that would continue to facilitate the peace process.
The four Ministers made a very positive assessment of this decision pointing out great credibility and exceptional merits of Heidi Tagliavini in the dialogue and the fact that she enjoyed trust by all sides.
