Minister Dacic: Good relations with Brussels and Moscow are an advantage of Serbia |

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said that the experience of a post-conflict society and good relations both with Brussels and Moscow would be the advantages of Serbia during its OSCE Chairmanship from 1 January next year.
On the eve of the annual OSCE Ministerial Council Meeting in Basel, Dacic told Beta agency that the conflict areas had an important place on the agenda of the Organization, and that it was not only Ukraine, but also Nagorno-Karabakh, Trans-Dniestrian region, Georgia. “We strongly believe, and I am sure this belief is shared by other OSCE participating States, the experience that we have, as a post-conflict society built on a series of negotiations and agreements, can not only contribute but be a valuable negotiating advantage in addressing these issues”, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia that will chair the OSCE in 2015. Dacic added that this also applies to the position of Serbia as a candidate for EU membership, which also has traditionally close relations with Russia. |
