During a visit to the Republic of Chile, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic spoke with Aldo Cornejo, Speaker of the Chilean National Congress Chamber of Deputies, on the possibilities of intensifying parliamentary cooperation.

The Minister’s collocutor pointed out the complete openness of the Chilean Congress to establish and develop all forms of parliamentary cooperation with Serbia, both bilaterally and in multilateral forums.
Minister Dacic informed his interlocutor that a Group of Friends of Chile was created in the National Assembly of Serbia last May, which was welcomed by Aldo Cornejo, expressing his wish to create the Committee of Friends with Serbia also in the Chilean Chamber of Deputies.
The First Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and the Speaker of the Chilean National Congress Chamber of Deputies informed each other about the internal situation in the two countries, as well as about their foreign policy priorities. Aldo Cornejo pointed out that Congress traditionally supported the positions of the Government in the field of foreign policy, so that it gave its full support also to the position of non-recognition of UDI of Kosovo and Metohija.
