US ambassador commends Serbia’s commitment to the OSCE chairmanship preparations

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with the US Ambassador to Serbia, Michael Kirby.
During the meeting the two interlocutors discussed the importance of Serbia’s OSCE chairmanship next year as well as the strengthening of regional cooperation and issues relevant for the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Minister Dacic emphasized that Serbia’s OSCE chairmanship was a challenge, on the one hand, and an opportunity for the promotion of international reputation of our country, on the other. Ambassador Kirby welcomed Serbia’s commitment to the preparations for its OSCE chairmanship as a very serious international engagement.
Minister Dacic will take part in the work of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting to be held in Basel, Switzerland, from 3 to 5 December 2014.
