First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Mohamed Larbi Ould Khalifa, President of the People's National Assembly of DPR Algeria. 

Highlighting the traditionally good relations between the two countries, they agreed that they should be further strengthened, particularly in the fields of economy and culture.

They also estimated that cooperation between the Parliaments of Serbia and Algeria should be promoted, and the number of mutual visits at a high level increased.

Minister Dacic reminded of the close relationship that existed between Serbia and Algeria in the Non-Aligned Movement and stressed the importance of this organization in the world.

The Algerian official reiterated his country's position on not recognizing the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and Metohija, for which he received special gratitude from the Serbian Foreign Minister.
