Minister Dacic and Ambassadors of EUFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic briefed fifteen Ambassadors of the group of African and Arab countries: Algeria, Angola, Guinea, DR Congo, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates, in order to further strengthen the position of the Republic of Serbia in Arab countries, and improve and intensify bilateral relations with African partners.

Minister Dacic underlined that Serbia wanted to maintain and improve its traditional ties with the countries of Africa and the Arab world, and stressed readiness for further promotion of economic cooperation with these countries.

During the meeting, Minister also announced changes in Serbia's visa regime that will facilitate business and other contacts between Serbia and these countries.

Ambassador of Palestine Mohammed Nabhan and Ambassador of Algeria Abdelkader Mesdua, as deans of the Diplomatic Corps Arab and African group, put forward proposals for further improvement in communication between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Embassies of this group of countries.

It was agreed that meetings in this format should be organized on a regular basis in the future.
