Minister Dacic holds briefing for Ambassadors of EU Member States |

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic held today a briefing for the Ambassadors of EU Member States, representatives of EU institutions and the US Embassy.
Minister Dacic informed them about the results of the visit made by Russian President Putin, future programmes and bilateral cooperation agreements between the Republic of Serbia and the Russian Federation. The Minister also reiterated that the Republic of Serbia remained firmly committed to advancement towards EU membership, which was also reaffirmed in a joint press conference held by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Having in mind that the Republic of Serbia has approached full EU membership negotiations seriously and responsibly, the Serbian Foreign Minister voiced his expectation that its efforts would be rewarded by the opening of Chapters 32 and 35 in the near future. As regards the Albanian Prime Minister's visit, Minister Dacic communicated information that both parties had agreed that the visit be postponed until 10 November, whereby importance of regional cooperation had been unequivocally reaffirmed. Serbia is ready to invest efforts in overcoming the situation caused by the incident that occurred during the Serbia-Albania football match, the Minister concluded.
