Minister Dacic receives new French Ambassador |

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a courtesy call from the newly-appointed Ambassador of the French Republic to Serbia, Ms. Christine Moro.
Minister Dacic welcomed Ambassador Moro, as he highlighted the traditional friendship existing between the two countries, and recalled their alliance and common WWI victories. The interlocutors have jointly assessed that the bilateral relations had been intensified, and that the political dialogue had been enhanced through exchange of top-level visits and strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries. The Serbian Foreign Minister thanked for the continued support that France had lent to Serbia in the context of its European integration process, and recalled that EU membership was one of Serbia's foreign policy priorities. Moreover, the Minister pointed to the significant presence of French companies in Serbia, expressing his expectation that French investments in Serbia would increase. Ambassador Moro expressed her belief that the friendly relations between the two counties would develop further, and praised the efforts that Serbia had invested into the European integration process. The Ambassador particularly stressed the symbolism of the meeting of Western Balkan Foreign Ministers and Ministers of Finance to be held in Belgrade tomorrow, and voiced her pleasure over the forthcoming visit of the French Prime Minister, Mr. Manuel Valls to Belgrade, scheduled for 6-7 November 2014.
