Slovenia sees Serbia as a credible partner, says Slovenian MFA official

Dacic - GerzinFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic talked today with the Acting Director-General of the Directorate for Bilateral Relations and European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Aleksander Geržina.

It was assessed that bilateral relations between the two countries were developed in all areas and it was highlighted that the practice of holding joint government sessions, contributing largely to the development of overall cooperation and symbolizing close and open relations, should be maintained.

Minister Dacic pointed out that Serbia and Slovenia are tied by friendly relations, and that there was a high level of harmonization of economic and political interests that should be translated into concrete projects.

Geržina reaffirmed Slovenian support to the further course of Serbia's EU accession negotiations, stressing the fact that Serbian effective foreign policy has made possible its reputation of a credible partner and regional factor of stability.
