First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Tim Cartwright, the new Head of the Council of Europe Office in Belgrade, who took up his appointment on 1 October.

Minister Dacic emphasized readiness to continue the good cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the CoE Office in Serbia. Dacic underlined that the Council of Europe was a specific international organization, important for all member states, including Serbia.

Cartwright said he was particularly pleased with his appointment in Belgrade and the upcoming cooperation with the competent authorities in Serbia. He stressed that the Council of Europe made available its mechanisms to all its members in order to achieve the agreed standards, and that his future engagement in Belgrade would rely on this approach.
