As a result of the efforts of the Serbian Embassy in Japan, at the invitation of Japanese conductor Mr. Mitsuyoshi Oikawa, a pianist from Serbia, Ms. Irina Naumovska held a series of recitals in major cities on the Island of Hokkaido, in September 2014. The concerts were benefit events, and all the funds raised by ticket sales were intended for assisting the victims of the Tohoku earthquake in Japan and the flood victims in Serbia.

The final concert of the young artist, held at the Serbian Embassy, was attended by about seventy guests who were welcomed by Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Japan Nenad Glisic. The Serbian Ambassador extended special gratitude to Conductor Oikawa, who organized, for the third year in a row, a complete tour of a young musician from Serbia, which is of great significance for the promotion of our country in Japan.
