First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić met today with the delegation of the Assembly of Serbs from Southern France and the first Business Forum of the diaspora and French businessmen from Lyon.

Minister Dačić and Assembly Chairman Milovan Jovanovic, as the delegation head, discussed improvement of cooperation and the ties between the Serbian diaspora in southern France and Serbia, with special emphasis on the development of economic cooperation.

During the visit to Belgrade, the delegation conferred with representatives of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce with a view to promoting Serbia as a favourable investment destination. The meeting was a continuation of dialogue, after the first economic-bilateral forum held in Lyon on 11 June this year. On this occasion, with the support of the Serbian Government, the first Business Forum of the diaspora and the French businessmen in Lyon was constituted. At the same time, around 40 tons of humanitarian aid was raised for the flood-affected population in Serbia.
