First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić met today with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Serbia Yousef Ahmad Abulsamad.

Minister Dačić congratulated the Kuwaiti Ambassador for the award Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah and the State of Kuwait received from the United Nations for humanitarian involvement.

Both sides agreed that the tradition of good relations between the two peoples and states should be the basis for the future all-round cooperation, in which the economic and investment programmes should go hand-in-hand with good political relations.

It was pointed out that the upcoming visit of the parliamentary delegation of the State of Kuwait to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia would contribute to the intensification of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting also discussed the donation of the State of Kuwait in the amount of one million dollars intended to help victims of the devastating floods that occurred in Serbia.
