First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić received today a farewell call of the Canadian Ambassador to Serbia, Mr. Roman Waschuk.

It was jointly assessed in the talk that a positive dynamics of bilateral relations was reaffirmed during the recent visit to Serbia made by Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird, and a solid foundation was laid for the additional enhancement of the political dialogue between the Republic of Serbia and Canada.

Minister Dačić expressed his pleasure over the good cooperation between the two states in the economic area as well, particularly in the context of a large number of Canadian investments in Serbia. The Minister commended the endeavours of Ambassador Waschuk, who has invested significant efforts during his tenure, aimed at improving relations between the two countries in all areas.
