Traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and Slovakia

dacic-varsoFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić met today with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Serbia Jan Varsho.

The officials expressed their satisfaction with the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries and the intensive political dialogue at the highest level. For the coming period, it was announced to hold more relevant expert meetings to further improve all aspects of bilateral cooperation.

The Slovak Ambassador handed to Minister Dačić a letter of invitation by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajcak for a meeting of foreign ministers of the member countries of the Višegrad Group and Western Balkans countries, which will be held on October 31 in Bratislava, within the Slovak chairmanship of the Višegrad Group.

During the meeting, Ambassador Varsho welcomed the talks of Serbia's officials with the delegation of the Council of the European Union Working Party on Enlargement and Countries Negotiating Accession to the Union (COELA) on their visit to Serbia.
