Dacic - StrasserFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić met today with Christopher Strasser, representative of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany in charge of human rights and humanitarian aid and a Bundestag MP.

The talk confirmed the good relations between Germany and Serbia which had been developing on an ascending line. The interlocutors discussed issues of human rights and the fight against discrimination in the context of accession negotiations with the European Union, with particular emphasis on the protection of the rights of minorities and vulnerable groups.

Dačić stressed that human rights were an important segment of the negotiation process with the European Union, but also one of the three dimensions of the OSCE, which Serbia would preside over in 2015. He stressed that the state authorities of the Republic of Serbia would continue to work on further strengthening the legislative framework and practices in the field of protection and promotion of human rights.
