Dacic - ManzoFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić talked today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in Belgrade, Giuseppe Manzo, on Serbia's European integration process and the forthcoming visit of the Committee on EU Enlargement (COELA) to Belgrade, from 10-12 September 2014. The Committee comprises representatives of all 28 EU Member States, addressing EU enlargement issues at their regular meetings in Brussels.

Expectations were expressed that the Committee's first visit to Belgrade, as proposed by the Italian Presidency, will contribute to better perception of the reform process carried out by the Republic of Serbia.

The programme of the visit was assessed as comprehensive and substantive, which will enable Serbian representatives to extensively present to the members of the Committee the activities of the Republic of Serbia in the framework of its European agenda.

Ambassador Manzo thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in particular, for the cooperation so far in preparing this important visit, while Minister Dačić took the opportunity to extend his congratulations on the appointment of Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini as EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and wished her every success in her work.
