Dacic - NikowitzFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a farewell call from the Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Serbia, Oszkar Nikowitz.

Minister Dacic thanked Ambassador Nikowitz for the successful cooperation during his tenure in Belgrade.

The interlocutors assessed that, by joining their efforts over the last few years, the two countries achieved significant progress and opened a new chapter in their relations. It was noted that the previous period was characterized by an intensive, open and productive political dialogue and that a number of successful visits were exchanged by officials of the Republic of Serbia and Hungary. Particular importance was attached to last year's visit of Hungarian President Janos Ader to the Republic of Serbia and the holding of the first Summit of government representatives of the two countries in Belgrade, on 1 July 2014.

Serbian diplomacy chief and the Hungarian Ambassador underlined their mutual commitment to continue the upward trend in relations between the two countries and strengthening of cooperation in the areas of common interest, and they agreed that further efforts should be made towards the implementation of the agreements reached during the Summit.
