First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic, who began an official visit to FR Germany tonight, took the opportunity of visiting Berlin to greet twice gold-medallist at the European Swimming Championships Velimir Stjepanovic.

Minister Dacic congratulated champion Stjepanovic on behalf of the Government, the country and the people of the Republic of Serbia. The Serbian Foreign Minister pointed out that, having achieved an unparralled success in the Serbian swimming, Stjepanovic emerged as a role model for young people, who needed such an idol whose efforts and sacrifices are crowned with success. Each medal of our athletes was a great encouragement to the people who went through tough times, said Minister Dacic, adding that a deserving welcome to the champion would certainly be organized in Belgrade.

Stjepanovic thanked him for the congratulations, saying that he was glad he had the opportunity to meet Minister Dacic, who also congratulated Stjepanovic's parents for the triumph, and wished much success to the rest of the swim team.

Stjepanovic was happy to receive a cake from our swimmers and the training team, which he shared with those present. On this occasion, Minister Dacic talked with Milorad Cavic, our ace swimmer.
