First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic said today that, in view of the intensification of armed conflicts in Libya and the very fragile security situation in Tripoli, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia recommended to its citizens to leave Libya immediately and to refrain from any further travel to this country.
The nationals of the Republic of Serbia residing in Libya on various grounds may contact the Serbian Embassy in Tripoli for specific instructions at the following telephone numbers: + 21821 / 362-32-05, + 21821 / 362-32-06. Currently, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Tripoli remains open but, due to the evolving situation, can only provide consular services of limited scope. Information on the crisis situation in Tripoli and its surroundings, as well as on possible routes for leaving Libyan territory, can be provided via the Embassy. All Serbian nationals currently staying in Libya are advised to leave their contact details to the Serbian Embassy in Tripoli. Tripoli International Airport has been closed down and other airports have limited services without giving precise arrival and departure information. One of the possible routes in departing Libya is overland via Tunisia. |
