First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic, in the capacity of co-chair of the committee for interior decoration of St. Sava Cathedral, received today the Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Nikolai Alexandrovich Mukhin and Science Secretary of the Academy Nadezhda Nikolayevna Mukhina.
The meeting was attended by proto-master of St. Sava Cathedral Prof. Dr. Vojislav Milanovic. The Protocol between the Government of Serbia and the Government of the Russian Federation on the Russian contribution to the internal decoration of St. Sava Cathedral in Belgrade was signed in Moscow on 16 March 2012. The Protocol is implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Minister Dacic received an invitation to take part in the closing session of the committee for interior decoration of St. Sava Cathedral, which will be held in Moscow in late September this year. The Russian Academy of Arts conducted the reconstruction of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, with Academician Nikolai Alexandrovich Mukhin in charge of decoration of the large part of the Cathedral's interior.
