Dacic and Miscevic discuss the course of Serbia-EU negotiating process

Dacic - MiscevicFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with Head of Serbia's EU Negotiating Team Tanja Miscevic.

Ms. Miscevic informed Minister Dacic about the course of the negotiating process between Serbia and the European Union, final screening meetings, and the planned activities of Serbia's Negotiating Team by the end of the year.

Furthermore, Ms. Miscevic informed Minister Dacic that she had talked about Chapter 35 with Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric, and that she had discussed energy-related issues with the Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic.

Head of the Negotiating Team stated that there were serious problems in the area of the environment as well.

Minister Dacic agreed with the idea of elaborating a monthly analysis of the course of negotiations between Serbia and the European Union, to be forwarded to all diplomatic and consular missions, and added that he would do everything in his power to meet these requirements.

Considering the fact that Serbia has embassies neither in Latvia nor in Luxembourg, the countries assuming the presidency of the Council of the EU in 2015, it was emphasized that the issue should be resolved as soon as possible.
