First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to Belgrade, Orlando Antonini, prior to the forthcoming visit of Secretary for the Holy See's Relations with States (MFA), Dominique Mamberti, who will visit Serbia from 27 June to 1 July.

Minister Dacic thanked Apostolic Nuncio Antonini for the speedy public call and an appeal to assist Serbia launched by Pope Francis after the recent floods, and for the relief aid that the Holy See had provided to the affected areas in Serbia.

Issues also discussed in the talks included bilateral relations, the Holy See's support to Serbia's European integration, and the issue of Kosovo and Metohija. The agenda for the talks during Secretary Mamberti's visit to Serbia, and the signing of an Agreement with the Holy See on cooperation in higher education were agreed.
