Chicago: WWI Centenary Commemoration

cikago-proslavaThe Serbian community in Chicago marked the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War, by an appropriate ceremony titled Cer and Kolubara: To the warriors' glory. Bishop Longin and the Acting Consul spoke about the Great War and the contribution by the Serbian Army. The actors of the Serbian theatre in Chicago, Branko Radicevic Cathedral Choir and the Serbian folklore group SOKO gave their performances within the cultural and art programme. The ceremony was organized by the Church and Parochial School of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago, in cooperation with the Serbian Consulate-General.
