Assistant Minister of Security Policy, Ambassador Miomir Udovicki, received on 3 June Steve McCarthy, Director of International Security Policy at the UK Foreign Office. Mr. S. McCarthy headed the delegation of the UK Defense Department and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, visiting Serbia for the purpose of holding consultations on bilateral defence cooperation and security policy.

Discussion focused on the cooperation between Serbia and NATO through the Partnership for Peace Programme, Serbia's European integration and contribution by Serbia in the framework of Common Security and Defence Policy of the European Union and regional cooperation, with particular emphasis on the stabilization of the security situation of Kosovo and Metohija. The bilateral cooperation on security policy and possibilities for its further improvement were also discussed.
