First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Miguel Ángel Moratinos, former Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, who had taken part in the international scientific conference on the First World War, organized by the Centre for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD), where Minister Dacic will also deliver an address.
Long-term UN-sponsored projects of global importance, and ways in which Serbia could fulfil its potentials in the best possible manner, through participation in such projects, featured as topics of the meeting, apart from the current developments in the world. It was concluded that Serbia, which is increasingly gaining ground as a reliable partner, apart from its proclaimed foreign policy aims- EU membership and fostering relations with Moscow, Washington and Beijing, should also develop relations with the developing countries such as India, Brazil, and other Latin American countries. Minister Dacic thanked Mr. Moratinos for the friendly relationship and assistance that he has provided to Serbia in its endeavours to protect its national and state interests, continuing along the European path.
