First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic participates in the Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Countries, which opened today in Algeria.

At the opening ceremony, the Ministers were addressed by: Chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement and Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif, President of Algeria Abdelaziz Bouteflika, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria Ratman Lamamra, and on this occasion messages from President of the UN General Assembly John Ash and UN Secretary General Ban Ki -moon were read.

During the day, Minister Dacic will have a number of bilateral meetings with Ministers of the NAM member and observer states. Topics to be discussed with the Algerian national leadership will include improvement of cooperation between the two countries in the economic field and Algerian principled support regarding the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and Metohija.
