First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a farewell call from the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Serbia, Zhang Wanxue.

In the talk, both sides expressed an interest in further improving their political dialogue through exchange of visits at the highest level and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. Also, it was assessed that the relations between the two countries were characterized by traditional friendship, confidence and support of the two countries on major issues of national interest.

FDPM and MFA Ivica Dacic positively assessed the progress of economic cooperation between Serbia and China, especially in infrastructure and energy sectors. The Minister pointed out the importance of a larger presence of Chinese investments in Serbia.

Ambassador Zhang underlined that China devoted great attention to intensifying its cooperation with Serbia in all areas and reaffirmed the interest of China to further enhance economic cooperation.
