Ambassador Dr. Matheel Dhaif Al-Sabti, Dean of the Foreign Services Institute and the Policy Planning Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq and Aleksandra Kovac, Head of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Mutual Cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, and the Foreign Services Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, on 9 April 2014.

The topics discussed in the working meeting included the diplomatic education and organization of curricula, enhancement and development of future cooperation in the training and equipping the diplomatic staff with adequate skills, on the basis of the signed bilateral agreement.

During his visit to Belgrade, Ambassador Dr. Matheel Dhaif Al-Sabti was also received by the Foreign Minister's Chief of Cabinet, Vladimir Maric, Head of the Department for Africa and the Middle East, Ambassador Goran Vujicic, and Head of the Analysis and Planning Department, Ambassador Zeljko Jovic.
