Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic met today with the Head of EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport.

The topics of their discussion included the European integration of the Republic of Serbia, the activities undertaken in the negotiation process and the regional cooperation.

Foreign Minister Mrkic informed that he would take part in the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the EU member states with the candidate countries, to be held on 5 April in Athens, at the invitation of Greek Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Evangelos Venizelos, in his capacity as President of the EU, and Baroness Catherine Ashton.

On this occasion, M. Davenport conveyed the message from EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton that she would like to visit the Republic of Serbia after the new Government is installed.
