Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Inappropriate Reactions to the 15th Anniversary of the NATO Campaign

The fact that NATO Spokesman placed on his official Twitter account the position of Pristina PISG representative regarding the anniversary of the initiation of the NATO campaign – which is, at the same time, NATO Victims Remembrance Day in Serbia, prompted the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of Security Policy, M. Udovicki, to talk today with Brigadier General L. Batta, Chief of the NATO Military Liaison Office in Belgrade. Serbian diplomatic representatives in Brussels also had talks with relevant NATO representatives there.

It was indicated that such acts reflect disrespect for the Serbian victims of NATO bombing and that they do not contribute to the Partnership for Peace (PfP) cooperation between Serbia and NATO.
