MFA Ivan Mrkic on a Working Visit to Tunisia

Ivan MrkicMinister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic is on a working visit to Tunisia, today and tomorrow, as a member of the delegation headed by President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic.

The visit to Tunisia is an opportunity to improve bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially economic activities.

As a member of the delegation of the President of Serbia, Minister Mrkic will attend meetings with Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki, Prime Minister Mahdi Jomaa and Parliament Speaker Mustapha Ben Jaafar.

The Serbian Foreign Minister will have separate talks with his Tunisian counterpart Monji Hamdi.

The signing of the Trade and Economic Cooperation Agreement and the Agreement on road transport and transit of people and goods between the two countries has been planned during Minister Mrkic's bilateral visit to Tunisia.

Within the WWI commemorations, the Serbian delegation will visit the cemeteries in Bizerte and Menzel Bourguiba, where Serbian soldiers were buried, and lay a wreath at the memorial to the Tunisian martyrs in Sejuma.

On the second day of the visit, the National Military Museum Manouba will host the opening of the exhibition "Serbs in North Africa, 1915-1919".
