Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Security Policy Miomir Udovicki spoke today at the opening of a conference titled "Has the time come to redefine the course of Serbian foreign, security and defence policies, after the launch of EU negotiations?".

Ambassador Udovicki spoke about the cooperation between Serbia and the European Union within the topic concerning common security and defence policy of the EU, at the conference organized by the Centre for Euro-Atlantic Studies (CEAS).

In his statement, the Ambassador stressed that the enhancement of cooperation contributed to Serbia's further progress towards the EU, as well as to the reforms in the security and defence sectors in Serbia. Mr. Udovicki particularly emphasized Serbia's contribution within international peacekeeping missions and operations.

Ambassador Udovicki expressed his expectation that the EU would continue to contribute to the normalization of the situation in Kosovo and Metohija via the EULEX mission.
