Bilateral Political Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Macedonia

Snezana JankovicBilateral political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Macedonia were held in Skopje, on 10 February 2014.

The consultations were co-chaired by State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Dr. Snezana Jankovic and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Macedonia Zoran Petrov.

The consultations were conducted in the framework of the preparations for the visit by Foreign Minister of the Republic of Macedonia Nikola Poposki to the Republic of Serbia, due to take place on 21 February.

In the talks both sides positively assessed the substance and dynamics of their political dialogue at the high and highest levels. The agenda included essential issues concerning bilateral cooperation, economic relations, cooperation in the context of European integration, cultural, educational and scientific-technical cooperation and other areas.

Views were exchanged on the activities and cooperation between the two countries in international organizations and regional initiatives. The Macedonian side was also briefed on the ongoing preparations for the Serbian OSCE Chairmanship-in-Office in 2015.
