The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Madrid organized in December a book promotion of Vasko Popa's El Cansancio ajeno, an edition comprising the whole of this author's poetry in the Spanish language.

The promotion was organized in a renowned Madrid bookstore, La Central de Callao, in cooperation with the Vaso Roto Ediciones publishing house.

Ambassador Danko Prokic and Antonio Ortega, a literary critic, portrayed Vasko Popa's character and work, and Popa's lines were read by young Madrid poets.

The event was attended by a large number of poetry lovers, among whom Antonio Porpeta, a famous Spanish poet, and a great friend of Serbia.
