The film "Circles" directed by Srdan Golubovic won best film award at the recent Algiers International Film Festival - FICA. The documentary "Cinema Communisto" by Mila Turajlic took the award for best documentary film.

The Algerian audiences were thrilled by Golubovic's drama, inspired by the true story of an act of heroism by Srdjan Aleksic, a resident of Trebinje, during the 1991-1995 war. The Algerian Minister of Communications and Culture Khalida Toumi emphasized that Serbian films dominated among the Festival award winners.
