Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic congratulated Frank-Walter Steinmeier on his appointment as the new Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Minister Mrkic voiced his belief that the Republic of Serbia could continue to count on German assistance and support in the European integration process.

Minister Mrkic underlined that the friendly relations between the two countries would continue to develop and be promoted in the mutual interest and stressed readiness to contribute, together with Minister Steinmeier, to the further strengthening of bilateral relations.
