Ambassador Miomir Udovicki, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for security policy took part in the meeting of the Partnership Commission of the US-Adriatic Charter ("A5") in Podgorica, on 10 December 2013. The meeting was devoted to exploring possibilities for the improvement of regional security cooperation, both within NATO, and through mechanisms envisaged by Partnership for Peace programme.
Member states of this regional security initiative are the United States, Montenegro, Republic of Macedonia, Republic of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Republic of Albania. The Republic of Serbia participated as an observer, and the meeting was also attended by Pristina's representative, whereby Serbia's request that the meeting be held in the so-called "Gymnich" format was met. During the meeting, the Republic of Albania took over the year-long chairmanship from Montenegro. |
