State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Dr. Snezana Jankovic received Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Zhang Wanxue, on 10 December 2013. Ambassador Zhang stressed that China devoted great attention to strengthening cooperation with Serbia in all areas. Mutual interest was expressed in the talks for further promotion of the political dialogue through highest-level visit exchange and strengthening of their strategic partnership. It was assessed that traditional friendship, deep mutual trust and mutual support on crucial issues of national interest are salient features of the relations between the two countries. Progress made in the economic cooperation between the two countries was commonly assessed as a positive development, particularly in infrastructure and energy sectors. In relation to this, State Secretary Dr. Snezana Jankovic underscored that it was important that this form of cooperation be further strengthened by means of attracting Chinese investments to Serbia.
