Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic offered his condolences to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Africa Maite Emily Nkoana Mashabane following the death of Nelson Mandela.

"It was with great sorrow that I received the sad news of the death of Mr. Nelson Mandela, father of the South African nation, the last of the great leaders and exceptional men whose life, work and great achievements still inspire billions of people around the world", the Minister says in his message of condolence, adding that the people of Serbia share in the grief of the people of South Africa.
