Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic received a farewell call today from Ambassador Victor Nedopas. Minister Mrkic emphasized the traditionally good and friendly relations between the two countries, as well as the linguistic, spiritual, and cultural closeness between the Serbian and the Ukrainian peoples. Stressing the excellent political relations, as confirmed by the exchange of Presidential visits in 2013, he pointed to the importance of developing the economic cooperation, which still has not achieved the level of realistic possibilities. He expressed his gratitude for the support Ukraine gave to Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its efforts to resolve the issue of Kosovo and Metohija peacefully, through dialogue.

While expressing his gratitude for cooperation, Ambassador Nedopas reaffirmed the Ukrainian interest in further development of relations with Serbia in all areas, and the readiness to share with Serbia the experience concerning the OSCE chairmanship, in the context of the Serbian OSCE chairmanship in 2015.
