MFA Ivan Mrkic meets Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Denis Becirovic

BecirovicMinister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic met today with a delegation of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, led by the Speaker of the House of Representatives Denis Becirovic. On the BiH delegation was also Mr. Milorad Zivkovic, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly.

Development of the relations between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina was positively assessed and their importance for the stability of the entire region was underlined at the meeting.

Mutual interest was expressed for further promotion of relations and cooperation that would be significantly contributed to by the upcoming meeting of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of November.

Minister Ivan Mrkic raised concerns about reports in the media about the suspension of the exhumation of human remains found at a dump site in Sarajevo. He expressed the hope that the relevant institutions in BiH would support the continuation of this process, out of respect for the victims and the need to establish the truth, and that the process would be supported by the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
