Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic received today the new Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Serbia, Constantine Economides.

Minister Mrkic wished the Ambassador a warm welcome and expressed readiness for continuing the intensive cooperation.

They shared the view that the bilateral relations between the two countries were at a high level and that the relations between the two peoples were traditionally friendly.

Ambassador Economides reiterated that Athens supported Serbia along its EU integration path, particularly in the light of the forthcoming Greek Presidency of the EU.
