The Mexico – Serbia Group of Friends was created in the House of Representatives of the Congress of Mexico on 8 October 2013. The Chairman of the Group is MP Fernando de las Fuentes Hernandez and its members are from all political parties represented in the Congress. At a special session held in the House of Representatives of the Congress of Mexico, members of the parliamentary Group of Friends and other parties emphasized the great importance of parliamentary diplomacy in the development of all-round, traditionally friendly bilateral relations between Serbia and Mexico. They also expressed the willingness of Mexican MPs, in future contacts with the members of the Serbia – Mexico Group of Friends, which was established in January 2013 within the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, to work together on the further rapprochement between the two peoples.
